Elopement or Surprise Ceremonies.
An elopement is an opportunity to marry each other in a very small and private setting. Please remember that the same conditions apply as with a traditional wedding ceremony. You are required to submit a Notice of Intended Marriage form with me or the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages not less than one month and one day before the desired ceremony date. You are required to produce positive identification at that time as well. You are required to have two [2] witnesses at the ceremony who sign the Certificate of Marriage, and Marriage Registry.
An elopement is such a personal experience and the tone of the ceremony reflects this. You have total editorial control over the content, duration, destination and atmosphere on the day. I have officiated at many elopements and have even organized your two witnesses to ensure that your decision to marry remains your secret entirely. I have conducted elopements in the privacy of my home and also the home of the couple, as well as beachside ceremonies, parks and more.
Elopements can be conducted as a "surprise" wedding - which enables the couple to make all arrangements in confidence and have their guests arrive under the pretence of a house warming, birthday or similar event. I work with my couples to maintain their secrecy and together we surprise the guests with a wedding on the day.
